Years of experience
A New York City-based visual journalist with over a decade of experience capturing real stories From conflict zones in Afghanistan to everyday moments of life and nature in the Unite States, my work is rooted in honesty, empathy, and purpose.
I’ve collaborated with international media outlets, including the Associated Press, contributed to Netflix’s Turning Point documentary, and led video producers at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. My photography has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. In 2019, I was honored with the MARAI Photo Award by Agence France-Presse, and in 2018, I received the Best Photo of the Year award for the US Embassy Kabul.
After relocating to the United States, I worked with the International Rescue Committee, documenting the experiences of Afghan refugees and the organization’s resettlement efforts.
